I am practically unemployable to tell you the truth. I have been wrecked by being successful online. How about you? Would you like to become highly successful online and completely unemployable offline?
Well, here I wanted to share a little bit about my own journey online, and what it takes to actually get and remain here. No, this is not a blog post about self-promotion as much as it is all about sharing what it takes and took to get here.
It is good to hear from others what they have accomplished and how, sometimes, the path has already been blazed and all we need to do is follow it…
How to become unemployable today.
Becoming unemployable should be something to strive for today. No, I do not mean that weird, lazy, liberal mindset where we are given things because we are all supposed victims.
I am actually talking about the kind of unemployable that is because you are a business owner and a successful one. Nothing ruins you for working for others than working for yourself.
I grew up working for my dad, he had a highly successful carpet cleaning business (something I want to carry on later) for nearly 26 years until he passed away in 2015.
I have held a few jobs, and sometimes a few in a single year! Ha! Seriously, as I grew older, working for others when I could be out hustling up more carpet cleaning work was difficult.
I could take orders from my dad, and I did, but still, I was my own boss there whenever I worked with him. I guess that was it, I worked with him, not for him.
After all, he started the business for his son, for me just in case I needed something one day to do.
I miss it, and him.
Self-employment or bust.
It has been nearly 10 years online today, and since that time I’ve worked with hundreds of people, maybe a thousand or so, I can’t count them all right now. I’ve also worked or consulted for a few large well-known brands, Fortune 500 Companies actually.
It took some time to get here, but here I got with a little patience, knowledge, and some blessing from the Good Lord.
You have a goal, or at least you should, and that goal, if you are reading this blog post, is that of being self-employed and working from home online, or from anywhere for that matter.
But that goal can only be achieved here if you are willing to sit down and do what you have to do to grow your online business. I have coached people to 7-Figure Incomes online, and some to six figures, it all took time, patience, and knowledge of best marketing practices.

It also took something only a few of us here talk about, and that is passion.
Self-employment online starts with passion. As a matter of fact, my father loved cleaning carpets. He got to meet new people every week and created lasting friendships with repeat customers over time who he literally called “friends,” not customers.
But, how do you do what he did, what I have done online with what little time you have?
Becoming highly successful at the same time.
The goal is unemployable, but being a jerk at work is not part of this shift.
My father worked graveyard at a lumber mill when lumbering was still a huge industry up here. And to get political for a second, it still is a large industry in the PacWest, the only difference today is that democrats made it easier for foreign companies to lumber the wood on large ships, instead of locals.
(Seriously, they did, and no, they did nothing to save the spotted owl, which is still flourishing. They just privatized the lumbering between themselves, that is the state government, and foreign companies cutting out the workers here.)
Now, back to my father. Well, he worked graveyard at one of them. And knowing where the industry was going, he believed he needed to make a move, and going back to being a cook at some restaurant was not the answer.
The only answer to guarantee an income, well, the best anyone can, was to be self-employed.
My uncle came up from the bay area for a visit, well, to get out of some trouble really, and showed my dad an industrial sized portable carpet cleaning machine and how to use it. My father was sold.
Without being a jerk to his current employer, my father worked days and nights with only 4 hours of sleep in between for nearly 10 months.
After that, he built up enough commercial jobs to cover household expenses, and new residential work was coming in pretty regularly. Of course, me passing out flyers door-to-door on my skateboard helped, and so did the ads he paid for in a local paper at the time called The Nickle, kind of like a paper version of Craigslist.
In the end, and through all the sacrifice of time, my father created a sustainable income that would last until he passed away at the age of 62 years old in 2015.
You can work both for a while. It will take some sacrifice of time, and even the giving up of some nights out with the guy’s, the girl’s, or the wife or husband. In the end, though, it will give you even more free time.
After all, it is not just about the money here, it is about the time freedom!
It takes coaching here trust me, I started with an internet marketing coach, just like my dad had my uncle coach him, and we both succeeded with our entrepreneurial ventures in time.
Unemployable and highly successful.
You can be unemployable and highly successful by simply finding something you really want to build a business around online, and learning how to build it. After that, it is simply applying that knowledge.
However, it will take some time, and the time it will take should not be from your current employer, but on your own time. Hey, if my father could do it while working graveyard at a lumber mill, you can do it too.
Becoming unemployable does not mean you’re a lazy turd with an attitude either, all it means is that the idea of working for someone else is the motivation for you to get things done, and meet your goals from here on out.
