The Empower Network and content marketing, what is David and pals not teaching you?, well, most everything.
The Empower Network has been not only kicked off Facebook, but two months after my first post, and warning, their beloved “link juice” failed them with the introduction of Google’s Penguin.
Here is what David Wood and the Empower Network does not teach you…and you really need to know it. Without the basics online, success coaching can only get you so far.
Chomping At The Bit Or, Chopping At The Wood(s)?
Talking with at least 10 members recently of the Empower Network, none of them have seen a single penny earned, then again, none of them know how to create a reason to earn it online.
Now if you are with the Empower Network, don’t get your panties in a bunch, I am just going to help you here, not drag you into some “make money” online hoopla like these guy’s. I have and do already make a great living here, I just want to help.
Here is the problem with this whole system, there is no real online marketing training, none at least that helps. Short blurbs about blogging, videos, articles and social media do not count David, you need to teach them “how to” do it.
10 out of 10 had yet to make a single dime with this program that I recently chatted with, that is way wrong. If the 10% rule Mr. Woods has mentioned was fact, well, there should have been at least 1-2 of them that made something.
Looking at the marketing strategies taught and used by all 10 members, it was apparent of why there was absolutely no traffic and, no money. There was no content, none at least that made any sense to anyone or for that matter, helped.
It was all sales copy, blurbs no longer than 250-375 words, images of David Wood and one of the actual marketer, plus there was nothing but fluff all over the site. No wonder Facebook canned you guy’s, and they let the Muslim Brotherhood hang out there.
Enough, It’s Time To Take On Content…
Like I said, this is not about picking on the “network”, this is about helping you. So let’s start taking a look at some of the simple strategies that can actually help you build this business.
1. GET YOUR OWN FRIGGIN’ BLOG!
Seriously, get your own website/blog going on with WordPress. There are many free training programs to help you get one going and, one that actually shines like a new car.
Either way, get your own website and take down David’s picture, it only hurts your credibility when you are trying to promote the system. I can understand some images within the posts or pages, but not all over the place, that is a little weird for most people.
2. Learn How To Actually Create Content.
I have been in your back office, I have been on the calls…hey, I was bored. One thing I did notice, which was crazy, was the fact that when it came to the “SEO”, content marketing and other online strategies, it was really short.
It was as if he was about to get into some really cool stuff to really help you, but then he knew it would sound like the work that it is and you would not have it. And of course he is right, most people will not have it, they will not focus on what really can create success for themselves online.
Content is currency, ever here of the book? If you have not, you should get it, then your head will spin and you would laugh at the crazy stuff most “gurus” spout online. Content is not only the currency of the internet, but it and those that practice it are king.
3. Quit Pounding Your Sales FLUFF! It’s Annoying!
The empower network is out on Facebook, and I don’t mean “out” in a good way. The strategies and formulas taught by David and his cohorts have created an ill flavor for one of the largest social media platforms on the planet.
Seriously, did you expect anything else from a company that says you should post 10 or more times a day to your Facebook? Actually, every time someone on Twitter connects to me and then sends me Empower network stuff, I unfollow…trust me, if you don’t, it won’t stop.
How about sharing real and valuable links that take people to real and valuable content? Sounds crazy, but it works. I don’t need to buy Fiverr crap likes, I don’t need thousands liking me and my stuff, I only need “some” to.
The most successful people online do not have ten’s of thousands of likes actually, and some hardly have any at all. To tell you the truth, it’s because we spend less time on Facebook and more time on content.
Another place we spend time on is Google Plus, Twitter, SpringPad and, get ready for this….being a part of communities online! yeah, we actually engage with other people and their content…whoa! what a thought huh?
So instead of pounding people like Amway salesman on Facebook, try being a help to people.
4. Understand That Keyword Spamming Is Not A Strategy!
The SEO video I saw from David was insane, and once again, I do not mean that in a cool way. It was stooopid with capital O’s.
You cannot get it all done in an H1 title tag or, putting your keywords in every 100-150 words, sorry, that crap was gone months ago.
Today a mixture of “niche” subject words or, LSI, is the key to nailing a good piece of content that get’s ranked. But remember, this will suck, because you actually have to write it.
Google today looks at the “intent” of the piece of content, talk about amazing! There are literally 128 things Google takes into consideration, some more than others. Better know which are most important and practice them.
5. Cursing In Content.
I can understand the word crap, wussies and friggin’ within a piece of content, but the other curses need to go David. Cursing within content and emails is about as much of a waste of time as it is to breathe them out.
Recently reading a post on his own website, well, it was pretty disgusting. If I were you in this program, I would be somewhat professional and create your own email content, do not use anything that uses these types of rants, it can hurt your business.
Final Thought’s And, A look To The Empower Network Future
Why did I not join the Empower Network? The answer is simple, there are easier ways to make money online and, I am simply busy helping people and running a business online.
Why are you in the Empower Network? That is a better question to ask right now.
I skipped the “hypnotic email marketing” training programs for something real and tangible, creating content that not only helped others, but actually built a list of over 40 thousands subscribers.
While it has been a good ride for a chosen few, the Empower Network has hit it pinnacle of power. Without real training of online marketing strategies, well, you are going to have to talk to friends and family. Not much of a future in that “cold” market.
Start creating real, valuable and helpful content, watch what happens within just a few weeks. I know that David Wood may not teach this, but David Boozer will.
