There are many things that the average online business owner pays attention too, but unfortunately, it’s usually what they should be avoiding. So, here are the 3 things many new online business owners do not pay attention to, but should.

People are always looking for the laziest way to make money online, or, market their business online. I get it, but what is funny is that when you watch them running around chasing every fart in the wind, you see someone who is actually making you tired of all the running around. All this makes you want to get back to being lazy if you ask me.

So, let’s talk about the 3 things that and truly lazy person like you and I can use to build success online starting today.

The New Online Business Owners.

Actually, I noticed that the serious millennial is patient when it comes to growing a business online, more so than the older folks in their 30’s, 40’s, and even 50’s to tell you the truth.

It’s not until the Fed’s bust up their “watch 10 ads a day opportunity” that most new online entrepreneurs actually start to settle down and take things seriously.

You can make money online, it’s easy! The problem is, what do you think is going to help you do that, and what is it you need to do?

Your Website And Blog.

First and foremost, you need a website and blog. Without a serious website and blog, where will you drive traffic to? Where will you build that authority and trust that converts into income online? Where will you educate, inform or entertain people with your content?

See, you need a hub online that brands yourself, your message, and your products or services, basically, the answer you have to the needs and questions people have.

As a matter of fact, let’s look at 16 quick reasons why you need a website and blog, besides just the obvious…

Reason #1 – Online Brochure.

Let’s start with the obvious, you are a business owner, and you are selling something. A WordPress website and blog is, in the end, the brochure that builds the authority and trust that converts your efforts into real income.

A website and blog, assuming the content is good if not great here and there generates better and more qualified traffic than any other platform or advertising outlet online today.

Reason #3 – Business Value.

It is a part of your machine, your website and blog are a part of your business.

Even today the successful brand, solopreneur, and or large company still measure income as the real marker for success with their internet marketing efforts. I mean seriously, money is always the baseline of knowing what is working and what is not with your business.

Today we have one of the most trusted and highly converting platforms ever invented, the inbox.

The email inbox is where most, probably about 56% of all sales online are converted. Used in conjunction with a blog, video, podcast and or another piece of content within your website, nothing converts better today.

Many a new online business owner or entrepreneur here I think misses out on this particular platform, if it were not so, everyone would be successful online.

It all starts with the free offer, the “ethical bribe” if you will. Many new websites and blogs I see today either lack the calls to action they need or, they are so full of them I can’t get to the content (the answer) I wanted to peruse in the first place.

Without a great bribe and the perfect call to action when needs be, well, building that email list just became harder.

Even this site and the minimal calls to action you find generate scores of optins each day, not hundreds or thousands, but scores, and that is perfect for me.

The Right Content Marketing Strategies.

It still amazes me how people are still hopping from one program to another, one software to another, and even one opportunity to another and all without a real plan to build a lasting business online.


The right content marketing strategies make all the difference in the visibility, traffic generation, and traffic conversion any business or brand online will see. And the lack of strategy is something that many do not pay attention to, and then wonder why they lack all of the above.

Failure is an end for those that have no plan or strategy online.

The best way to target the right strategies for your internet marketing efforts is to determine where your target markets spend time online, and what types of content they prefer.

Of course, a website and a blog always work for generating and converting traffic, but do you need video in the mix or audio? Do you need Facebook, or would Twitter be better time spent?

Not every business out here needs Facebook, personally, I know a few large 7 figure a year brands and businesses that do not use Facebook at all. I know, sounds crazy, but it is not, they know their audience that well.

What email marketing system will you use? What about your ongoing content? Your email follow-up series and your free offer.

All these things you will need, but you will not need every strategy and software to go with them. Once you figure out your target market, well, you’ll know what they like. And to tell you a killer little truth, think about yourself and how you would like to get and follow up with your industry, what you like most people will probably like.

Oh, and one other thing, try not to please everyone, you can’t, and it will only backfire.

Bonus: The Monetization Platforms.

Sometimes I like to throw in a little “bonus round” if you will towards the end of a post like this. Monetization was a pretty popular stumbling block for many new online business owners.

Most of the time it was second guessing that limited financial growth of a new online entrepreneur. Because you may be skeptical of platforms and business models like network marketing or affiliate marketing, you are seriously finding yourself lacking the income you really want.

Well, quick thinking negatively about things as powerful and awesome as affiliate marketing, network marketing, and even native advertising for that matter.

Be open to different monetization platforms, always.

The New Online Business Owners.

You are now a new online business owner, so think like one, be like one, and take the risks the truly successful have here.

Remember, they say that what you say here will be recorded forever, that’s not true. Actually, there is a delete button on just about every platform you work on. Do, if you make any mistakes, learn from them, and then delete them.

It’s easy to overlook things in the process of building something to make you money online, and if your only thoughts are on just the money, well, you’ll have a very short lived life here.

As a new online business owner, money comes naturally if you decide to create and share something of value regularly.
